Is There a Skills Tutor Care Program?
“Care program” can refer to health care, child care, employee benefits, or extra help with an account. It is not specific enough to identify a Skills Tutor feature. Before entering personal information, check the full program name on the letter, email, school handout, or sign-in screen that directed you there.
If the notice came from a school or training provider, ask that organization whether “care program” is the name of a course, a local service, or a separate benefit. Have the notice, the student’s name, and any organization or site code ready. Do not send medical, benefit, or payment details until the organization confirms that you are using the correct service.
If you saw the phrase after signing in, record the exact wording and where it appeared. A screenshot can help an administrator identify the program without requiring you to share a password.
Gift Cards and Skills Tutor
Do not assume that a request involving a gift card is part of the Skills Tutor program. A message may be referring to another company with a similar name, or it may be an attempt to obtain the card number and PIN.
- Check the brand printed on the card and its packaging.
- Use only the balance or help instructions supplied by that card’s issuer.
- Do not provide card details in a Skills Tutor sign-in field.
- Do not send a photo of the card or reveal its PIN to someone claiming that it is needed to activate a student account.
If a school gave you a code that looks like a gift card number, confirm with the school whether it is actually an enrollment, license, or class code. Enter it only in the field the school identifies. If the request arrived unexpectedly, contact the school through a contact method you already trust.
Finding a Tracking Number
A tracking number normally belongs to a shipment, delivery, application, or support case. First identify what is being tracked. Look at the message or receipt for the carrier’s name, the sender, and words such as “order,” “shipment,” “case,” or “reference.”
For mailed materials or equipment, the sender should provide the carrier and tracking number. Check the original confirmation message, including the spam folder, and any paper receipt. Then enter the number only on the named carrier’s official tracking service.
For an account or support request, a reference number may identify the case but may not provide live shipment updates. Keep that number and give it to the organization handling the request. If no number appears, return to the company’s official website and look for a confirmation or status area. If there is still no record, ask the school or organization that arranged access to confirm whether anything was actually shipped or submitted.
