Where to Check Your CVS Order Status
To check a CVS order status, sign in at {site}, open My Account, and select Order Status & History. For a shipped nonprescription order, the shipping confirmation email also contains the carrier tracking information needed to follow the package.
Prescription orders use a separate area. Sign in with Prescription Management, open the Prescription Center, and select Prescription Details. That page shows the current prescription status and pickup information.
The CVS Health app can also show prescription progress for prescriptions connected to your account. Menu names and placement can change after an app update, so look for Pharmacy, Prescriptions, or Order History if the expected option is not immediately visible.
Pickup, same-day delivery, shipped nonprescription orders, and prescriptions may appear in different parts of your account. Start with the confirmation email if you are unsure which type of order you placed.
What You Need to Look Up a CVS Order
Have the email address and password for the CVS account used when the order was submitted. CVS places account-based nonprescription tracking under Order Status & History, while prescription tracking requires access to Prescription Management.
Keep these details ready:
- The order or confirmation number from the confirmation email.
- The email address associated with the order.
- The name on the order and the delivery or pickup location.
- The carrier tracking number, if CVS has sent a shipping confirmation.
- For a prescription, the information needed to verify access to the prescription profile.
The order number identifies the CVS transaction. A tracking number identifies a shipped package in the carrier's system. These numbers are not interchangeable, so use the tracking number when checking the movement of a package.
How to Track a CVS Order Step by Step
- Open {site} and select the account sign-in option.
- Sign in with the account used for the order.
- Open My Account.
- Select Order Status & History. CVS help pages may shorten this label to Order Status in some instructions.
- Find the matching order by its confirmation number, date, contents, or destination.
- Open the order details to read its current status.
- If the order has shipped, use the tracking information in the shipping confirmation email to view the carrier's latest scans.
To track a CVS prescription, sign in to Prescription Management, open the Prescription Center, and select Prescription Details. Check that the correct patient is selected if the account manages prescriptions for more than one person.
In the CVS Health app, sign in to the same account and open the pharmacy or order area that matches the order type. If the CVS check order status result is missing, compare the signed-in email address with the address that received the confirmation.
What CVS Order Status Labels Mean
Status wording can differ by order type, and shipping stages may come from the package carrier rather than CVS. Read the order details and any accompanying message before deciding that action is required.
- Processing means CVS has received the order and is preparing it. CVS confirmation guidance specifically says a submitted order is received and being processed.
- Shipped means the package has left the fulfillment stage and CVS has issued a shipping confirmation. That email normally contains the tracking number and access to carrier updates.
- Out for delivery is generally a carrier tracking status. It means the carrier has placed the package on the final delivery route, but it does not confirm that delivery is complete.
- Ready for pickup means the pickup order or prescription is available at the selected store. Wait for this status or the corresponding CVS notification before traveling to the store.
A confirmation message does not mean a package has shipped or a pickup is ready. It confirms that CVS received the request. Likewise, a shipping label may exist before the carrier posts its first movement scan.
What to Do If a CVS Order Status Is Not Updating
First, refresh the order page, sign out and back in, and check the confirmation and shipping emails. Search the inbox and spam folder for messages from CVS, then confirm that the order number matches the order being viewed.
If a tracking number shows no movement, check the carrier result again later. CVS states that a new tracking number may not display an initial update immediately. This can happen while the shipping information moves from CVS to the carrier, and it does not by itself prove that the package is lost.
Contact CVS Customer Care using the verified contact information displayed with this article when the CVS order status remains stuck, the order is missing from the correct account, or the displayed result conflicts with an email notification. For a prescription, contact the selected CVS pharmacy or use the verified pharmacy-support option instead.
Have the following information ready before contacting support:
- The order or confirmation number.
- The account email address.
- The name and delivery or pickup location on the order.
- The current status and the last update shown.
- The tracking number and carrier name, if a package has shipped.
- Any confirmation, pickup, or shipping message that conflicts with the status page.
Do not send prescription details or account passwords through an unverified message channel. A CVS representative may verify identity, but support should not need your account password.
Can You Check a CVS Order Status Without an Account?
CVS allows guest checkout for eligible nonprescription orders, but its published help directs customers to sign in to My Account and use Order Status & History for the full online status view. CVS does not describe a general guest lookup form that retrieves an order from only an order number and email address.
A guest can still track a CVS order after shipment by opening the shipping confirmation email and using its carrier tracking information. The original confirmation email also proves that CVS received the order and provides the confirmation number needed if assistance is required.
If no shipping email has arrived, check spam or junk folders and confirm that the email address was entered correctly. Then contact CVS Customer Care through the verified contact block on this page. Provide the confirmation number, email address, name, and destination, but never provide an account password.
