- Walmart ID number (WIN)
- Birthdate
- Date Hired
- Email address
The day you are hired, you are then given an assigned Walmart ID. They give one ID per employee. There are two ways you can find your ID number in case you have somewhat lost it. You can ask your supervisor to search it for you, or if not, you can ask your supervisor to search the date you are hired as a Walmart employee. Then click on the button that says “Go” for you to start registering.
After entering these required details, find the box that asks for your Walmart ID number then enter it. Then enter as well your birthdate and date hired. Enter the captcha code and then click submit.
In the next phase, you need to enter your personal details into the online form:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Home address
- Username
- Preferred password
Validate your details and continue the process. Once successful, you can then have an online account to the Walmart member’s page. This allows associates and other members to be able to
Cashing a check at Walmart
Many Walmart stores cash eligible checks at the Money Services desk or customer service counter. Check-cashing availability and accepted check types can vary by store and state.
Bring the original check and a current government-issued photo ID. The name on the check should match the name on your ID. Do not sign the back until an associate asks you to endorse it.
- Ask whether that location provides check cashing.
- Show the check and your ID.
- Review the disclosed terms before approving the transaction.
- Count the cash and keep the receipt before leaving the counter.
A check may be declined if it is damaged, altered, expired, postdated, unsupported, or cannot be verified. The store may not be able to explain every verification decision. If this happens, contact the check issuer, ask your bank or credit union about depositing it, or try another lawful deposit method. A “cheque” is the same type of payment commonly called a “check” in the United States.
OnePay and Walmart Pay are different
OnePay is a financial-services brand associated with Walmart, but it is not the same thing as Walmart Pay. Depending on the product offered to you, OnePay may require a separate enrollment, identity check, account agreement, and card setup. Read the product name and issuer information carefully before applying or entering personal details.
To start or recover access, use the company’s official website, select the relevant OnePay option, and follow the identity-verification prompts. Have your legal name, contact information, identification details, and any existing card or account information ready. If verification fails, check for typing errors and make sure your information matches official records. Use the support option shown inside the official service rather than sharing a password or verification code with someone who contacts you unexpectedly.
Walmart Pay is the Walmart checkout payment feature. To set it up, open the official Walmart app, sign in, find Walmart Pay, add an eligible payment method, and complete any requested verification. At checkout, follow the register prompts and confirm the correct payment method before authorizing the purchase.
Walmart cards, applications, activation, and payments
For a Walmart credit card application, first check the company’s official website for the card currently offered and identify its issuer. Review the terms before submitting personal information. Approval is not guaranteed, and an application may require identity and credit checks.
To make a Walmart credit card payment, use the issuer named on the card or statement. Sign in to the issuer’s official account area, choose the payment option, select or add a bank account, review the payment date and details, then save the confirmation. If the card no longer appears in an older account, verify whether servicing moved to another issuer.
For a Walmart Visa gift card, use the activation instructions printed on its packaging, receipt, or card. Some cards are activated at purchase; others require a separate step. Keep the card and receipt until activation is confirmed. If activation fails, recheck the card information and contact the support channel printed on the card. Never provide the card number or security code to an unsolicited caller or message sender.
Ordering Walmart checks online
If you want personalized paper checks rather than check cashing, look for Walmart Checks and confirm that you are using the official ordering provider. Have a current check or bank document ready so you can copy the routing number, account number, name, and address exactly.
Choose a check design, enter the banking details, proofread every digit, and review the order before submitting it. A routing or account-number error can make the checks unusable. If you are unsure which numbers belong on the order, stop and confirm them with your bank. Do not use a deposit-slip number unless your bank says it is the correct routing number for checks.
