Wake Forest Patient Portal – www.mywakehealth.com
The treatments of tomorrow are being developed today by the ideas and innovations of our scientists and physicians. But these ideas and innovations require a scientific study to advance and so we have Wake Forest Baptist Health which conducts hundreds of clinical trials every year in an effort to detect, treat and prevent disease. Wake Forest Baptist is a non-profit health care institution that provides rehabilitation, psychiatric, outpatient and community health services. The center has several locations all around the country – you can find one near your area by using the search tool found on the portal.
Wake Forest Baptist also conducts research that is relevant to health and medicine. For example, the scientists in its physiology and pharmacology department are currently studying why cocaine is so addictive. They are using animal models to better understand the causes and effects of the drug. Moreover, the center also allows you to earn points and trade the points in for Amazon gift cards. You may also leave your feedback and comments by joining the Wake Forest Baptist Panel. Learn more about the center and its services by signing up for an account on mywakehealth.com.

How to check patient service hours
Patient service hours can differ by clinic, department, and location. The schedule for a medical office may also be different from the availability of portal support, billing help, laboratory services, or urgent care. Check the hours for the exact service you need before leaving home or waiting for a reply.
Go to wakehealth.edu and search for the clinic or service named on your appointment notice, test order, bill, or other paperwork. Open the location details and confirm that the department name matches. Look for notes about closures, appointment requirements, or changes to the usual schedule.
If the listed information is unclear, contact the clinic through the contact method shown on its official location page. Have the following details ready:
- The full name of the patient
- The clinic, department, or provider name
- The location shown on the appointment notice
- The type of help needed
- The planned date of the visit
Ask whether the listed patient service hours apply to your specific need. A building may be open while a particular desk or department is unavailable.
What to do when the service appears closed
First, check that you selected the correct location. Offices with similar names may keep different schedules. Also check the date because weekends, holidays, severe weather, and temporary operational changes can affect availability.
If your request is not urgent, use the patient portal to send a message or submit an available request. Include the clinic name, the reason you are contacting it, and a safe way to reach you. Do not place highly sensitive information in a general contact form unless the page clearly identifies it as secure.
For an appointment, review your confirmation notice before traveling. It may include arrival instructions or a department-specific contact method. If you arrive when the appropriate service desk is unavailable, follow posted directions and avoid leaving documents or medical information in an unattended area.
If you believe you have an immediate or life-threatening medical emergency, do not wait for regular patient service hours or for a portal response. Use emergency services or go to the nearest emergency department.
