Official AT&T Wi-Fi Login
Start on the official AT&T website. Check that the page shows AT&T branding and that your browser identifies the connection as secure. From the main menu, choose Account and then Sign in. You can also open the Internet support section and select the sign-in option for network help or Smart Home Manager.
Avoid sign-in pages reached through ads, unexpected messages, or sites that only resemble AT&T. A genuine page should not ask you to send your password to another person, install remote-control software, or pay to unlock your account.
The phrase “AT&T Wi-Fi login” can mean three different things: signing in to your AT&T account, joining your home Wi-Fi network, or opening the gateway settings. Identify which one you need before entering any credentials.
How to Sign In
For account access, have your AT&T ID and password ready. Your ID may be an email-style ID associated with the account. If you manage more than one AT&T account, make sure you use the ID connected to your Internet service.
- Open the official AT&T website in your browser.
- Choose Account, then Sign in.
- Enter your AT&T ID in the ID field.
- Enter your account password in the password field.
- Review both entries, then select Sign in.
- After signing in, open your Internet account or Smart Home Manager to view Wi-Fi details and network tools.
Enter the credentials manually if your browser fills in an old ID or password. Keep Caps Lock off, and do not confuse your account password with the Wi-Fi password printed on the gateway.
Connecting Through an AT&T Wi-Fi Gateway
Joining Wi-Fi does not require the AT&T account sign-in page. Open Wi-Fi settings on your phone or computer, select your home network name, and enter its Wi-Fi password. The gateway label shows the default entries as “Wi-Fi Network Name” and “Wi-Fi Password.” If someone changed them, the label may no longer match.
Gateway settings are separate again. They control network features such as the Wi-Fi name and password. Connect your device to the home network, then follow the gateway-settings instructions in AT&T Internet support. When prompted, use the Device Access Code from the gateway label. This code is not your Wi-Fi password or AT&T account password.
Smart Home Manager provides another way to see or manage supported home-network information. Reach it through the official Internet support area and sign in with your AT&T ID and account password.
- AT&T ID and account password: used for the online account and Smart Home Manager.
- Wi-Fi network name and Wi-Fi password: used to connect a device to the network.
- Device Access Code: used to authorize changes in gateway settings.
Forgotten User ID or Password
For a forgotten ID, open the official sign-in page and choose “Forgot ID.” Enter the contact email or AT&T mobile number associated with the ID, along with the ZIP Code supplied when the ID was created. Follow the prompts. AT&T sends the ID information to the registered contact method. If you cannot remember the contact email, choose “Forgot contact email.”
For a forgotten password, choose “Forgot password” or “Reset your password” on the official sign-in page. Enter your AT&T ID and the last name associated with it. Select one of the verification methods offered for your account, complete the verification, and then enter and confirm a new password.
Update any saved password in your browser or password manager afterward. If your AT&T email uses the same ID and password, changing the account password also changes that shared email password.
Login and Connection Problems
First decide whether the account login or the Wi-Fi connection has failed. If other sites load but AT&T rejects your credentials, the problem is probably the ID, password, or account selection. If no sites load, troubleshoot the network before repeatedly attempting to sign in.
- Retype the ID and password instead of using autofill. Check capitalization and remove accidental spaces.
- Confirm that you selected the ID connected to the Internet account you want to manage.
- Close and reopen the browser, or try a private browsing window.
- Clear the browser’s cookies and cached data if the sign-in page loops, stays blank, or displays old information.
- Try another current browser and temporarily disable extensions that may block scripts or cookies.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data to learn whether the page problem is limited to one connection.
- If the home network is unavailable, check the gateway’s power and cable connections. Restart it using the instructions in official AT&T Internet support.
Do not keep guessing after repeated password failures. Use the official reset process instead. If joining Wi-Fi fails, forget the network on your device, select it again, and carefully re-enter the Wi-Fi password.
Contact AT&T Support
If recovery does not work, go to the official AT&T website and open Support, then Internet. Look for “Contact us,” account-access help, or the chat option. Use the contact method displayed there so you receive current information.
Before contacting support, note the exact error message and whether the problem affects account sign-in, Wi-Fi connection, Smart Home Manager, or gateway settings. Have the account holder’s name, billing ZIP Code, and available verification details ready, but never send a password or Device Access Code in an unsolicited message.
