YouSee Password and Email Password Help
YouSee does not provide a way to display your current YouSee account password, but you can view a copy saved on your own device or reset the password. A YouSee email password is separate from the main YouSee Login password and can be changed through Mit YouSee.
Can You View Your Current YouSee Password?
If you are asking “how do you see your password,” first determine whether the password was saved on your phone, computer, or browser. YouSee’s recovery process creates a new password; it does not reveal the existing one.
A saved password is a copy stored by a password manager, which is a tool that securely remembers login details on your device. Viewing that saved copy is different from recovering access through YouSee.
- If a password manager has the correct YouSee entry, you may be able to display and use it.
- If nothing was saved, or the saved password is outdated, use YouSee’s password-reset process.
- If you remain signed in on one device, do not sign out until you have confirmed that the password works elsewhere or completed recovery.
How Do You Check YouSee Passwords Saved on Your Device?
Check only devices and password-manager accounts that belong to you. The menu names vary by browser, phone, and operating-system version, but the general process is the same.
- Open the browser or device settings.
- Find Passwords, Password Manager, Saved Passwords, or a similarly named section.
- Search for YouSee and inspect the username or email address attached to each result.
- Select the eye or reveal control beside the password.
- Complete the device’s identity check if requested. This may use the device passcode, fingerprint, face recognition, or computer account password.
Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari each have a saved-password area. On a phone or computer, the operating system may also have a password manager that stores credentials used across apps and browsers.
A saved entry can be old. If YouSee rejects the displayed password, do not keep retrying it. Reset the password, then update or remove the outdated entry.
How Do You Reset Your YouSee Account Password?
The official YouSee account-recovery flow starts in the YouSee login window. Have your YouSee username ready and access to the email address or mobile number already connected to the login.
- Open {site} and go to the Mit YouSee login window.
- Select “Glemt adgangskode,” which means “Forgot password.”
- Enter your YouSee username and select Next.
- Choose whether to receive a one-time code by email or SMS. Only the contact choices associated with the account are shown.
- Send the code, then enter it in the verification field.
- Select the control that verifies the one-time code.
- Enter the new password in both password fields and save it.
If you have forgotten the username too, select “Glemt brugernavn,” meaning “Forgot username.” YouSee’s official flow asks you to choose email or SMS and enter the email address or mobile number connected to the YouSee Login. YouSee then sends the username through the selected method.
After resetting the password, replace the old saved credential on every browser or device where you use YouSee.
How Do You Recover Your YouSee Email Password?
If you are asking “how do you see your email password,” the YouSee Mail password is not the same as the main Mit YouSee password. It is the separate password chosen for the YouSee email account.
YouSee does not describe a process for displaying the existing email password. If the password is stored in your own password manager, you may be able to reveal that saved copy. Otherwise, change it in Mit YouSee:
- Open Mit YouSee and sign in with MitID.
- Find YouSee Mail in the account overview.
- Select the email address whose password needs to be changed.
- Under Mail Settings, select the option to change the password.
- Complete the displayed fields and save the new password.
If the YouSee mailbox is not visible in Mit YouSee or cannot be linked because you have forgotten its existing password, YouSee’s official guidance is to contact support.
Once the email password changes, enter the new password in every email program that uses the mailbox. A phone or computer may otherwise continue trying the old password for incoming and outgoing mail.
What Should You Do If YouSee Password Recovery Does Not Work?
Use the error and the point where recovery stops to narrow down the problem.
- Username not recognized: Use the forgotten-username option with the email address or mobile number already attached to the YouSee Login.
- Email address not recognized: Check for typing errors and consider whether a different address was registered. Do not create repeated reset requests for unrelated addresses.
- Recovery message missing: Check spam, junk, blocked-sender, and filtered-message folders. For SMS, confirm that the displayed masked number is one you can access.
- Code rejected: Enter the newest code received. Requesting another code can make an earlier one unusable.
- Access appears locked: Stop repeated login attempts and use YouSee’s official support options.
- New password still fails in an app: Delete the outdated saved credential, type the new password manually, and confirm that the app is using the correct account or mailbox.
How Do You Contact YouSee Support About a Password?
Contact YouSee when you cannot access the registered email address or mobile number, the account details are not recognized, the mailbox is missing from Mit YouSee, or the official recovery flow cannot verify you.
Open {site}, choose Help, and use the official Contact section. Select the contact option currently shown there, such as chat or another available support channel. The site’s verified contact block should be used for current details rather than a phone number or schedule copied from another source.
Tell support whether the problem concerns the main YouSee Login or a YouSee Mail password. Provide only the account information requested through the official channel, and never send your current or new password in a message.
