YouGov Login and Sign-In Help

Official YouGov Login

Start on YouGov’s official United States website. Do not trust a login page reached through an unexpected text message, email, advertisement, or social media post.

Open the official site by searching for YouGov and checking that the search result identifies YouGov itself. On the site, select the button or menu item labeled “Log in” or “Sign in.” The page should ask for the email address registered to your YouGov account.

Check the spelling of YouGov in the page name and browser address bar before entering anything. If the page asks for payment information, a survey invitation code, or unrelated personal details merely to sign in, close it and return to the official site.

How to Sign In

The current website sign-in process uses the registered email address and a one-time login code instead of a permanent password.

  1. Open the official United States YouGov site and choose “Log in” or “Sign in.”
  2. Enter the email address connected to your account.
  3. Submit the form and open that email inbox.
  4. Find the new message from YouGov and enter the one-time code on the sign-in screen.
  5. Complete the sign-in before the code expires.

Each code can be used only once. If a code has expired or was already entered, return to the sign-in screen and request a new one. Use only the newest message, because an older code may stop working after another is requested.

This is the normal you gov login process on the website. You do not need to create or remember a website password when the official page offers email-code authentication.

Forgotten Password or Email

If the website asks for your email and sends a code, there is no password to reset. A “Forgot password” option may apply only to a different YouGov product or an older sign-in screen. Confirm that you opened the regular United States member login from the official site before following any password prompt.

If an official sign-in screen does require a password, use only the recovery option shown on that screen. Follow the instructions YouGov sends to the registered email account. Do not use password-reset instructions supplied by an unofficial website.

If you do not remember which email address is registered, search your inboxes for earlier YouGov messages. Also check whether your browser or password manager saved the email used on the account. Do not repeatedly create new accounts to test different addresses.

If the registered inbox is inaccessible, use the request form in YouGov’s official Help Center. YouGov documents that an email-change request may require your birth year, the account’s current email address, and the new email address you want to use. If you do not know the current address, say that clearly and provide only the account details the official form requests. Never send a password or one-time code.

Fix YouGov Sign-In Problems

Try these steps in order:

  • Check the email address for typing mistakes, extra spaces, or an old address.
  • Confirm that you are using the United States version of the official site. YouGov notes that using the wrong country site can prevent the login message from arriving.
  • Check spam, junk, promotions, and filtered folders for the newest code message.
  • Wait briefly, then request one new code. Avoid making many requests in quick succession.
  • Enter the code exactly as shown and within the time stated in the message. The documented login code is single-use and remains valid for ten minutes.
  • Allow cookies for the official site. Blocking all cookies or using strict privacy settings can interrupt the sign-in session.
  • Refresh the page, clear YouGov site data and cached files, or try a private browsing window.
  • Update the browser or try another current browser. Disable extensions that block scripts or cookies for this test.
  • Switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data if the page or code request will not load.

If the page says the account is suspended, closed, duplicated, or under review, stop trying to bypass the message. Only official YouGov support can explain or change account status.

Access the YouGov Account on Mobile

For a mobile-browser you gov sign in, open the official United States YouGov site in a current browser, choose the login option, and request the code using your registered email. You may read the email on the same phone or another device, but return to the original sign-in screen to enter the code.

If you use an app, install it only from your phone’s official app store. Open the publisher information and confirm that the developer is identified as YouGov. Compare the app name, logo, privacy information, and publisher details with information shown on YouGov’s official site. Avoid copies promoted through pop-ups, messages, or third-party download pages.

Keep the app updated. If sign-in fails, close and reopen it, check the network connection, and request a fresh code. Reinstalling should be a later step because it can remove locally stored app data.

Contact YouGov Support

Open YouGov’s official Help Center from the main site and look for “Submit a request,” “Contact us,” or the account-access category. Use the form displayed there rather than contact details copied from search snippets or unofficial directories.

Before submitting the request, prepare:

  • Your name and birth year as recorded on the account.
  • The registered email address, if known.
  • A new accessible email address if the old inbox cannot be used.
  • The exact error message and the step where it appears.
  • Your country, device type, browser or app, and approximate time of the failed attempt.
  • A screenshot with one-time codes and other sensitive details hidden.

Describe the troubleshooting already attempted. Never include your password, current login code, full identity documents, or financial information unless the secure official support process specifically explains why a document is required.
