Is My BP Credit Card still issued by Synchrony Bank?

Synchrony Bank previously issued BP consumer credit cards in the United States. Newer BPme Rewards Visa cards are issued by First National Bank of Omaha. This means an old search result for MyBPcreditcard or Synchrony may not lead to the company that manages your account today.

Before signing in or making a payment, check the issuer name on your latest statement or on the back of the card. Use the account number from that same card. Do not enter your details into a page merely because it displays a BP or Synchrony logo.

If the statement names Synchrony Bank, use Synchrony’s account service. If it names First National Bank of Omaha, follow the payment instructions from that issuer instead. Start at {site} if you need BP’s current card information.

How to make a Synchrony BP credit card payment

If Synchrony still services your account, have your current statement and bank routing and account numbers ready. Then:

  1. Open Synchrony’s official account service and select the BP account.
  2. Choose the payment option.
  3. Select or add the bank account that will fund the payment.
  4. Enter the payment date and the amount you intend to pay.
  5. Review the account, date, and payment details before submitting.
  6. Save the confirmation until the payment appears in your account history.

A card number is not the same as a bank routing number. Payments are normally funded from a checking or savings account, so copy the banking details carefully.

If Synchrony cannot find the BP account

First confirm that the issuer on the newest statement is Synchrony. An account moved to another issuer will not necessarily appear under an old Synchrony sign-in.

  • Check for a mistyped card or account number.
  • Use the name and billing ZIP code shown on the statement.
  • Look for a replacement card or issuer-change notice in recent mail.
  • If a payment was already submitted, check its status before trying again so you do not create a duplicate.
  • If the payment deadline is close, use the support instructions printed on the current card or statement.
