Sign In and Find Your Order

Open {site} and select the sign-in option. Enter the email address or mobile number connected to your Amazon account, then complete any identity check that appears.

After signing in, open Your Orders. On a phone, this area may be inside the account menu. Review the order list and select the order you want to locate. If you have many orders, use the available date filter or search field to narrow the list.

Check that you selected the correct order by comparing the item description, order date, delivery address, and order number. One order can contain several packages, so items placed together may show different shipment details.

If you are trying to track my order from Amazon but cannot find it, confirm that you signed in with the same email address or mobile number used when the order was placed. Also check whether another household member used a different Amazon account.

Check the Order Tracking Status

Open the relevant order and look for an option labeled Track package, Track shipment, or a similar tracking label. The exact wording and position can vary based on the order and its current stage.

  1. Select the order in Your Orders.
  2. Choose the tracking option for the package you want to check.
  3. Review the latest status, shipment progress, and delivery information shown.
  4. If the order has multiple packages, return to the order details and check each shipment separately.

The tracking view may show recent scans, the current delivery stage, and a delivery date or date range. Treat that information as the current update rather than a guarantee. Shipment details can change when Amazon or the carrier receives new information.

When tracking my order from Amazon, compare the time of the latest update with the current date. A status that has not changed recently does not always mean the package is lost; the next scan may not have been posted yet.

Understand Common Tracking Messages

Tracking labels summarize the package’s current stage. The wording may vary, but these common messages usually mean:

  • Ordered or order received: Amazon has the order, but shipment activity may not have started.
  • Preparing for shipment: The order is being readied for dispatch. A tracking link may not be available yet.
  • Shipped: The package has entered the delivery process. The first detailed carrier update may appear later.
  • In transit: The package is moving through the delivery network.
  • Out for delivery: The package has reached the local delivery stage. This does not promise a particular arrival time.
  • Delayed: The expected schedule changed. Open the order details for the newest information or any action Amazon requests.
  • Delivered: The shipment was marked as delivered. Check the delivery location, household members, and any notes or photo shown in the order details.
  • Delivery attempted: A delivery could not be completed. Follow the instructions displayed with the tracking update.

Do not assume every carrier uses identical labels or scan timing. The Amazon order page is the best place to review the status connected to that specific shipment.

Track an Order Without Account Access

Search the email or text messages used for the order. Amazon may send an order confirmation and, after shipment, a message with a Track package or View order option. A confirmation message proves the order was received, but it may not contain shipment tracking if the package has not been dispatched.

Open only a message you recognize as connected to your order. Compare its order number, item description, and delivery details with your records. A tracking button may ask you to sign in before showing private order information.

If you cannot sign in, use the official account recovery option reached through {site}. Follow the prompts to verify the account. Do not share a password, verification code, or full payment details with anyone who contacts you unexpectedly.

If another person placed the order, ask that person to check Your Orders or forward the official shipment update. Amazon may limit what it can disclose when the person requesting information cannot verify the account.

Fix Missing or Unavailable Tracking

First, make sure you are viewing the correct account and order. Then check whether the order contains separate shipments. Tracking may appear for one package while another is still being prepared.

  • Refresh the order page and reopen the tracking view.
  • Check the order status for cancellation, delivery changes, or a request for action.
  • Review your confirmation and shipment messages for the matching order number.
  • Allow for a short gap between a shipped notice and the first visible tracking update.
  • If a tracking button does not open, try signing out and signing back in, or use another browser.
  • If the order is absent, check other email addresses or mobile numbers that may be connected to another Amazon account.

For a package marked delivered but not found, read the delivery details carefully. Check the stated location, nearby secure areas, and whether someone at the address accepted it. Use any problem-reporting option displayed beside that order if it remains missing.

Contact Amazon About the Order

Use official customer support when the order is delayed beyond the date currently shown, the tracking information remains unavailable, the package is marked delivered but cannot be located, or it reached the wrong address.

Start from the Customer Service or Help area and select the affected order. Choosing the order first helps connect the support request to the correct shipment. Use the contact method offered there.

Have the order number, item description, account email address or mobile number, delivery address, and latest tracking message ready. Explain what the order page shows and what you have already checked. Never include your password or a verification code in a support message.

If Amazon directs you to wait, complete a form, or return after a stated date, follow the instructions shown for that order. Keep the confirmation and any case details until the issue is resolved.
