Shipped With Tracking: Check Your Order Status

Find the Tracking Number for a Shipped Order

Start with the shipping confirmation sent by the retailer. This notice is different from an order confirmation because it usually shows that the package has left the retailer or has been prepared for a carrier. Look for a field labeled Tracking Number, Track Package, Shipment Details, or Delivery Details.

If you cannot find the message, check your email spam or junk folder and any text or app notifications from the retailer. Search using the order number or the words shipped, tracking, or shipment. An order shipped with tracking may have more than one tracking number if its items were divided into separate packages.

You can also open {site}, sign in, and check Order History, My Orders, or a similarly named account section. Select the shipped order, then open its shipment or tracking details. If you checked out without an account, use the retailer notification or its guest order lookup, if one is available.

Copy the tracking number exactly. Keep the order number as well. They serve different purposes: the retailer uses the order number to identify the transaction, while the carrier uses the tracking number for the shipped order to identify the package.

Open the Official Tracking Page

The shipping confirmation or order details should name the carrier. It may also include a Track Package button that opens the carrier record or displays the shipped order tracking status inside the retailer account.

  1. Confirm which carrier is handling the package.
  2. Copy the complete tracking number without surrounding words or punctuation.
  3. Open the carrier's official tracking page or the retailer's order details.
  4. Paste or type the number into the tracking field.
  5. Review the latest scan, location information, and status notes.

Use the official carrier page identified through the retailer's shipment details. Avoid relying on an unfamiliar search result or message. If the shipment passes between carriers, the order page may show an additional number or identify the carrier responsible for the final part of delivery.

When you check shipped tracking information, compare the tracking number shown on the tracking page with the one in your confirmation. This helps prevent confusion when an order contains several packages.

Understand Common Tracking Statuses

Tracking messages describe scans and processing events. They do not guarantee a specific delivery time. Common statuses include:

  • Label created: The sender generated shipping information, but the carrier may not have received or scanned the package yet.
  • Accepted: The carrier has recorded possession of the package.
  • In transit: The package is moving through the carrier's network or waiting at a processing location between scans.
  • Out for delivery: The package has entered the local delivery stage. This does not guarantee that delivery will be completed that day.
  • Delivered: The carrier recorded the package as delivered. Check the displayed location details, household members, reception area, mail area, and any delivery notice.
  • Exception: An event is affecting normal movement or delivery. Open the details for the carrier's explanation and any action requested.
  • Delayed: The package is still in the network, but its progress has been affected. Continue checking the official record for a new scan or instruction.

A status can remain unchanged between physical scans. Read the full event history instead of judging the shipment only by the most recent short label.

Tracking Number Not Working

If no record appears, first check the number for missing or extra characters. Remove spaces, dashes, quotation marks, and any words copied with it unless those characters are visibly part of the number. Do not substitute similar-looking letters and numbers.

Next, confirm that you selected the carrier named in the shipping confirmation. A valid number entered on the wrong carrier's page may return no result. If the retailer provides its own Track Package control, try opening the record there to confirm the carrier and tracking number.

A newly created label may not have a carrier scan yet. The retailer can mark the order shipped when shipment information is prepared, while the tracking system may remain blank until the carrier processes the package. Check again after the tracking record has had time to update, without assuming a delivery date.

If the number continues to show no record, contact the retailer through its official support section. Ask it to verify the carrier, the complete number, and whether the package was handed over. Do not post your order or tracking information publicly.

Order Marked Shipped but Not Moving

Shipped tracking can appear inactive when only the label has been created. Label created means shipment data was sent to the carrier. Accepted or another physical scan is stronger evidence that the carrier received the package.

If the history shows acceptance but no recent movement, review the complete tracking details for an exception, delay, transfer, or requested action. Some movement can occur without a new public scan, so an unchanged status does not by itself identify where the package is.

For a label-only record, contact the sender because the sender can confirm whether the package was transferred to the carrier. Once carrier possession appears in the history, the carrier may be able to explain a scan or delivery exception. If the retailer gives specific instructions for a stalled shipment, follow those official steps.

Get Help With a Shipped Order

Before contacting support about tracking for a shipped order, gather the information needed to identify the correct shipment:

  • Your order number and the name used on the order.
  • The full tracking number and carrier name.
  • The date of the shipping notification.
  • The latest status and scan shown in the tracking history.
  • The number of packages listed for the order.
  • A short description of the problem, such as no tracking record, no movement, an exception, or a delivered package you cannot locate.

Use the retailer's official Help or Contact section for order questions. Use the carrier's official support channel for questions about scans recorded after carrier acceptance. Open {site} if you need to return to the retailer's verified account or support area.

Share only the details requested through the official channel. Keep confirmation messages and screenshots of the current status for your records. This gives support a clear account of the shipped order without relying on memory or exposing sensitive information in a public message.
