Salesforce Login Page and Sign-In Help
Official Salesforce Login Page
Start at Salesforce’s official website. Open its main site by typing the company name into a trusted search engine or by using a bookmark supplied by your employer. On the official site, select the link labeled “Login.”
Check the page before entering your username or password. The company name should be spelled correctly, the browser should show a secure connection, and the page should use Salesforce branding. Do not sign in through a link from an unexpected email, text message, advertisement, or pop-up.
Search phrases such as “salesforce login page,” “salesforce com login,” “www salesforce com login,” “salesforce sign in page,” “www salesforce login com,” and “login page salesforce” may produce unofficial results. Use the official site’s own Login link instead of trusting the wording of a search result.
How to Sign In
Have your Salesforce username, password, and verification device ready. A Salesforce username often looks like an email address, but it may not be the same as the email address where you receive messages.
- Open the official Salesforce sign-in page through the company’s main website or your organization’s approved bookmark.
- Enter the exact username assigned to your account.
- Enter your password. Check capitalization and make sure your phone has not added a space.
- Select the sign-in button.
- Complete any verification request. Depending on your organization’s settings, this may involve an authenticator, security key, one-time code, or another approved method.
If your employer uses single sign-on, the page may send you to your organization’s identity provider. Follow that process and return to Salesforce when prompted. Do not repeatedly approve verification requests that you did not start.
Forgot Your Password or Username
To begin the official password reset process, open the Salesforce sign-in page and select “Forgot Your Password?” Enter your Salesforce username and follow the instructions sent through the recovery method associated with the account.
Check spam or junk folders if the reset message does not appear. Also confirm that you entered the account’s Salesforce username, not merely your usual email address. Use only the newest reset message because an older reset link may no longer work.
If you do not know your username, check the original account message from Salesforce or the sign-in instructions provided by your employer. You can also ask your organization’s Salesforce administrator to confirm the username. Salesforce generally cannot replace an organization’s internal account administrator or change an employer-managed identity for you.
Never share a password, verification code, recovery link, or authenticator approval with someone claiming to help. A legitimate recovery process should let you enter sensitive information directly on an official page.
Troubleshooting Salesforce Login Problems
Read the complete error message before trying again. It can help distinguish an incorrect password from an account lock, verification problem, or organization-specific restriction.
Incorrect credentials: Re-enter the username and password carefully. Turn off accidental capitalization, remove extra spaces, and make sure a password manager has not filled credentials for another account.
Browser problems: Refresh the page, close and reopen the browser, or try a private browsing window. If allowed by your organization, try another current browser. Stored cookies, blocked scripts, or an extension may interfere with sign-in.
Verification failures: Confirm that the phone or security device has the correct time and an internet connection. Use another verification option only if the page offers one and your organization has already approved it.
Account locks: Stop repeated attempts if the page reports a lock. Use the official reset option or contact your Salesforce administrator. More failed attempts may delay access.
Single sign-on errors: Begin from your employer’s portal or approved Salesforce bookmark. If another company account is open in the browser, sign out of that account or use a separate browser profile.
Unexpected page or prompt: Close it and start again from the official Salesforce site or your organization’s known portal. Report suspicious sign-in requests to your employer’s security or IT team.
If the problem occurs only on a work network, device, or browser, note that detail. It can help an administrator identify a policy, cookie, network, or identity-provider issue.
Using a Custom Salesforce Login URL
An employer, school, nonprofit, or other organization may use a custom Salesforce sign-in address called My Domain. This address identifies the organization and can enforce its own single sign-on and security rules.
Use the custom address when your administrator tells you to do so, when it appears in official onboarding material, or when it is saved in an organization-managed portal. A standard Salesforce login may not complete access if the organization requires users to begin through its My Domain page or identity provider.
If you do not know the correct custom address, do not guess it. Check your organization’s internal help page, approved password manager, onboarding message, or IT documentation. You can also ask the Salesforce administrator or help desk to provide the approved sign-in route.
Contact Salesforce Support
For an employer-managed account, contact your organization’s Salesforce administrator or IT help desk first. They can check whether the account exists, confirm the username, review access policies, unlock an eligible account, or direct you to the required custom login page.
To find Salesforce’s official support options, start at the company’s main website and open its Help or Support area. Look for options labeled “Contact Support,” “Help,” or “Trailblazer Community.” Sign in there if the support process requires it. Avoid contact details copied from advertisements, forums, or unrelated directories.
Before requesting help, prepare:
Your Salesforce username and organization name.
The exact error message, without including your password or verification code.
The time the problem occurred and the device and browser used.
Whether you use the standard page, My Domain, or single sign-on.
Steps already tried and whether other users have the same problem.
Do not send passwords, reset links, security answers, or one-time codes in a support request.
