How to Track Your Purchase

Open {site} and look for an option labeled Order Status, Track Order, Purchase History, or a similar name. If you signed in when placing the order, open your account history and select the recent purchase you want to review.

The purchase tracking tool may ask for one or more of these details:

  • The purchase tracking number or order number
  • The email address used when the order was placed
  • A billing or shipping ZIP code
  • The last name connected with the purchase

Enter each detail exactly as it appears in the confirmation message or receipt. An order number identifies the purchase in the seller's system. A shipment tracking number identifies a package after it has been prepared for delivery. If you want to track your purchase but only have one of these numbers, try the official order-status tool first. The purchase details page may then show any available shipment information.

Find Your Purchase Tracking Number

Check the confirmation message sent after the order was submitted. The subject line may mention an order confirmation, purchase confirmation, shipment, or delivery update. Open the message and look near the order summary or shipping details.

A purchase tracking number may also appear in these places:

  • Your account's order or purchase history
  • A digital or printed receipt
  • A shipping notice sent by email or text
  • The details page for the individual purchase
  • A packing document included with another package from the same order

Search your inbox and spam or junk folder using the seller's name and words such as order, shipped, tracking, or confirmation. If several numbers appear, note their labels. An order number, receipt number, reference number, and shipment tracking number may serve different purposes.

For an order with more than one shipment, each package may have separate tracking information. Review the full order details instead of assuming the first number covers every item.

Track a Purchase Without an Account

Guest tracking may be available even if you did not create an account. On the official site, look for Guest Order, Find an Order, Check Order Status, or a similar option. The form may request the order number along with the email address, last name, or ZIP code entered during checkout.

  1. Find the original confirmation or receipt.
  2. Copy the order number exactly, including any letters, dashes, or leading zeros.
  3. Enter the identifying details exactly as originally provided.
  4. Open the matching purchase and check whether shipment tracking is listed.

If no guest tool appears, do not create a new account and expect an earlier guest purchase to appear automatically. Instead, use the official support option and ask whether the purchase can be located with the confirmation details.

If another person placed the order, the tracking form may require that person's email address or other order details. Ask the purchaser to check the confirmation rather than guessing entries repeatedly.

Understand the Tracking Status

Purchase tracking messages describe different stages of order handling and shipment. Their exact wording varies, but common statuses include:

  • Order received or confirmed: The purchase was recorded, but shipment information may not be available yet.
  • Processing or preparing: The order is being reviewed or prepared. This does not show that a package is already moving.
  • Shipped: Shipment information has been created and the package has entered or is expected to enter the delivery process.
  • In transit: The package is moving through the delivery network.
  • Out for delivery: The tracking record indicates that delivery is being attempted or planned for the current route.
  • Delivered: The tracking record shows a completed delivery scan. Check the stated location, household members, mail area, and any secure receiving point.
  • Delayed or exception: An issue has affected normal movement. Open the detailed tracking record for the latest note or requested action.
  • Canceled or returned: The order or shipment is no longer following its original delivery path. Review the purchase details and contact support if the reason is unclear.

A status may remain unchanged while systems exchange information. Treat any displayed date as an estimate unless the official purchase details clearly state otherwise.

Fix a Tracking Number That Does Not Work

First, compare the number with the original message character by character. Remove accidental spaces before or after it. Keep required dashes, letters, and leading zeros. Watch for characters that look alike, such as zero and the letter O.

Confirm that you are entering a shipment tracking number in the tracking field, not an order number, receipt number, or payment reference. If the tool requests purchase details, make sure the email address, last name, and ZIP code match the original order rather than your current account information.

A newly issued number may not show activity immediately because tracking records can update after shipment information is created. Check again later through the official purchase page. Avoid repeatedly changing the number unless the original notice shows a different value.

If the purchase should appear in your account but does not, confirm that you signed in with the same email address used for the order. Complete any password reset or account verification steps shown on the sign-in page. A guest order may remain separate from account history.

Contact Purchase Support

Contact official customer support when the purchase cannot be found, the tracking number remains unrecognized, a delivered status does not match what you received, or the tracking page requests action you cannot complete. Use the Help, Contact Us, or Customer Support section on {site}.

Have the following information ready:

  • The order number and purchase tracking number
  • The name and email address entered with the order
  • The billing or shipping ZIP code
  • The purchase date
  • The exact status or error message shown
  • A brief description of what is missing or incorrect

Do not send a full payment card number, account password, or sign-in code. Share only the information requested through the official support channel. Save the support reference number or conversation record so you can identify the case if follow-up is needed.
