Origin Login and Account Access Help
Official Origin Login Page
Origin has shut down and the EA app has replaced it on supported PC and Mac computers. The official EA site confirms that the account details previously used for Origin are used to sign in to the EA app.
To find the verified origin login route, open the official Electronic Arts website by typing the company name into your browser or using a trusted bookmark. Look for “EA app,” “Sign In,” or “EA Help.” Do not use a sign-in page reached through an unsolicited email, text message, advertisement, or social-media post.
Before entering credentials, check that the page clearly belongs to Electronic Arts, uses a secure connection, and contains no misspellings or unusual extra words in the browser address bar. If anything looks wrong, close the page and start again from the official company site.
How to Log In
You need your EA Account ID or the email address associated with the account, plus your password. These are the credentials EA says you can use after moving from Origin to the EA app.
- Open the EA app on your computer, or select “Sign In” from the official Electronic Arts or EA Help site.
- Enter your EA Account ID or account email address exactly as registered.
- Enter your password. Check capitalization and make sure your phone or computer has not inserted an unwanted space.
- Select the sign-in button once. Repeated taps can submit the form more than once.
- If prompted, enter the verification code from your selected two-factor authentication method.
If your goal is to login to Origin, log in to your Origin account, or complete an Origin account sign in, use the current EA sign-in process. Avoid old Origin pages saved in search results or bookmarks. An Origin log in request should now lead you through EA’s official account system.
Forgotten Password or Account ID
On the official EA login screen, select the option labeled “Forgot your password, or need to create a new one?” Enter your email address or EA ID, then submit the request. Check the associated email account for EA’s reset message and follow its instructions to create a new password.
If the message does not appear, check spam or junk folders, confirm that the inbox is not full, and request the message again. Be sure you entered the email address for the correct account.
If you have forgotten your EA ID, search your email for earlier messages from EA or check your signed-in profile on a device you already use. If you cannot access the registered email address, follow the “How to get back into your EA Account” guidance under EA Account support. EA may offer identity verification through a recognized device, but that option is not available in every case.
Do not create a second account merely to work around recovery. It may not contain the profile information you expected to find after an Origin account login.
Fix Common Sign-In Problems
- Incorrect credentials: Retype the email or EA ID and password instead of relying on autofill. Check Caps Lock and the selected keyboard language. If the password still fails, use the official reset option.
- Missing verification code: Ask for the code again, then check spam, inbox capacity, and blocked-sender settings. Confirm that you are attempting the origin account sign in with the intended account. If you configured backup codes, use an unused one.
- Browser problem: Close extra tabs, clear the browser’s cookies and cache for EA, disable extensions that alter pages, or try a private window or another current browser. Allow cookies and pop-ups when the official process requires them.
- App problem: Close and reopen the EA app. Check the internet connection and install any available app update before trying again.
- Locked account: Stop repeated password attempts. Read the exact notice shown and follow the official recovery or security instructions. If the message refers to a sanction rather than a temporary security lock, use EA Help’s account locks, bans, and suspensions section.
- Service outage: Open EA Help from the official site and look for “Servers.” If the sign-in service shows a problem, wait and try again later rather than repeatedly changing your password.
Take a screenshot or copy the exact error message before troubleshooting. This information can help support distinguish a password problem from a browser, app, or service issue.
Contact Origin Support
Account help is now provided through EA Help. Start at the official Electronic Arts website, open “Help,” choose “EA Account support,” and select the topic that best describes the problem. Look for “Contact us” when the self-service instructions do not restore access.
Have your EA ID or account email, device platform, connected platform ID if relevant, the time the problem began, the exact error message, and a list of steps already tried. Include a screenshot if it does not expose a password or verification code.
If you cannot sign in to origin account services because the registered email is unavailable, say that clearly. Support may need information to verify that the account belongs to you. Never send a password, passkey, backup code, or current verification code.
Protect Your Account
- Begin every Origin sign in from the official EA site or app, not from a message or sponsored search result.
- Use a unique password that is not shared with another account.
- Turn on two-factor authentication from the EA Account Security and Privacy page. EA lists email, an authenticator app, and text message as possible methods.
- Save backup codes in a secure place separate from the device used for sign-in.
- Use a passkey if the option is available for your account and device.
- Review trusted devices and security settings regularly, especially after an unexpected login alert.
EA says not to share login details, passwords, verification codes, or passkeys. A legitimate support interaction should not require you to reveal those secrets. If a page pressures you to act quickly or asks for them, close it and return to EA Help through the official company site.
