To complete a 1Password login, open {site}, choose Sign In, and enter the account details shown in your Emergency Kit or supplied by your account administrator. If you cannot sign in, use the official account-finding or recovery option instead of guessing credentials or using an unofficial page.

The service name is written as 1Password. Searches such as “onepassword login” or “onepassword log in” usually refer to the same account-access process.

Where is the official 1Password login page?

Start at {site} and select the sign-in option displayed there. This avoids copied login pages, misleading search results, and addresses that may belong to the wrong account type or region.

Before entering private information, check that the page identifies 1Password consistently and that your browser does not show a security warning. Do not continue if a page reached through an advertisement, message, or unexpected email asks for information that does not match the normal sign-in process.

1Password Support will not need your account password, Secret Key, or complete Emergency Kit. Never send those details to someone claiming that they can unlock the account manually.

How do I log in to my 1Password account?

An Emergency Kit is a document containing important account-access information, including the sign-in address, email address, and Secret Key. A Secret Key is a unique group of letters and numbers that works with the account password to protect the account.

  1. Open the verified 1Password sign-in page.
  2. Choose the correct account or account region if the page offers that choice.
  3. Enter the email address associated with the account.
  4. Enter the Secret Key shown in the Emergency Kit when requested.
  5. Enter the 1Password account password. This may differ from a device password or another password used elsewhere.
  6. Complete any identity, two-factor, or trusted-device verification shown on the screen.

A team or business account may also require its account-specific sign-in address. Ask the organization’s administrator for that address if it was not included in your invitation or Emergency Kit. If the organization uses single sign-on, follow the employer’s identity-provider prompt and use the email address connected to both systems.

How can I find my 1Password sign-in address?

The sign-in address identifies the specific 1Password account or organization. Check the Emergency Kit first because it records the address assigned to the account.

If the Emergency Kit is unavailable, open the verified sign-in page and look for “Find my account” or similar account-finding wording. Enter the email address associated with the team account and follow the official instructions sent or displayed by 1Password.

For a workplace account, check the original invitation or ask the account administrator. Do not copy a coworker’s address unless the administrator confirms that both users belong to the same account. People with more than one 1Password account should match the email address, Secret Key, and sign-in address to the same account.

How do I recover access to my 1Password account?

The available recovery method depends on the account and what was prepared before access was lost. 1Password cannot simply reveal a forgotten account password or Secret Key.

  • If another signed-in device still opens, check the account details available in the 1Password app and avoid removing the account from that device.
  • If you previously generated a recovery code for an eligible individual or family account, choose the trouble-signing-in option and follow the official recovery process. Access to the account email may be required for identity verification.
  • For a family account, ask a family organizer with recovery authority to begin account recovery.
  • For a team or business account, contact the team administrator, owner, or another person authorized to recover accounts.
  • If the organization uses single sign-on, contact its 1Password administrator when the identity provider or trusted-device step prevents access.

Official recovery may issue a new Secret Key and require a new account password. After recovery, save the updated Emergency Kit and sign in again on devices as directed. A recovery code cannot help if it was never generated, and an administrator can recover only accounts within the organization they manage.

Why is my 1Password login not working?

Rejected credentials often come from mixing details from different accounts. Check each field separately before starting recovery.

  • Account password rejected: Check uppercase and lowercase letters, keyboard language, Caps Lock, and accidental spaces. Type carefully rather than repeatedly submitting the same entry.
  • Secret Key rejected: Compare it with the Emergency Kit for this exact account. Do not substitute a Secret Key from another personal, family, or work account.
  • Wrong email or sign-in address: Match the email, account region, and organization address to the same account.
  • Browser page will not load: Reload the page, try a private browsing window, temporarily disable extensions that alter pages, or use an updated browser. Check the official service-status information if several devices fail.
  • Verification fails: Confirm the device date and time are correct. For an emailed code, check spam or filtered folders and make sure you are viewing the inbox for the account email. For a trusted-device prompt, use a device already connected to your account.
  • Only one device fails: Test a device where 1Password previously worked. If other devices still work, keep them signed in and report the problem without deleting local account data.
  • Account access is unavailable: Contact a family organizer or organization administrator to confirm account status and recovery eligibility.

How do I contact verified 1Password Support?

Use the support option on the official 1Password site. Avoid phone numbers, social-media replies, or contact details copied from unverified directories.

Prepare the email address associated with the account, the account type, the device and browser being used, the exact error message, and the steps already tried. For an organization account, include the organization name and explain whether its administrator has been contacted.

Do not send your account password, Secret Key, recovery code, full Emergency Kit, or vault contents. Support may help identify the correct procedure, but it cannot bypass 1Password security or authorize access to another person’s account.
