MyGovUS Login Help and Account Access
Official MyGovUS Login Page
Start from the company’s official website. Find the account area for Permitting and Licensing Pro, powered by MyGov, and select the account sign-in option. On the MyGov welcome screen, mobile users can choose “Login Here.”
The verified sign-in screen is headed “Sign In” and shows fields for an email address or username and a password. It also offers a permalink field, a “Remember me” option, a Login button, and a “Forgot Password?” link.
Search phrases such as “mygov us login,” “mygovus login,” “my gov us login,” and “mygov us account login” may produce ads or unrelated government services. Do not sign in from a search result merely because its title looks correct. Open the company’s official website first and follow its account link.
How to Log In
Have the email address or username and password connected to your account ready. If your organization gave you a permalink, keep that information available as well.
- Open the verified sign-in screen from the company’s official website.
- Enter your email address or username exactly as registered.
- Enter your password. Passwords are case-sensitive, so check capital letters and symbols.
- If your organization requires a permalink, select “Use a Permalink” and enter the value it supplied.
- Select “Login.”
- Complete any additional prompt shown for your account or organization.
The current sign-in screen also offers “Login with Identity Workforce.” Use that choice only if your employer or organization specifically instructed you to do so. The “New Collaborator Account” option is for account creation, not access to an existing account.
A “Remember me” box may be available. Leave it clear on a shared, public, or borrowed device.
Forgot Your Username or Password
For a forgotten password, select “Forgot Password?” on the verified sign-in screen. The official recovery page asks for your email address and can send instructions for creating a new password.
- Enter the email address associated with the account.
- Select “Send Instructions.”
- Check the inbox for that address, including its spam or junk folder.
- Follow only the instructions in the expected recovery message.
- Return to the verified sign-in screen and try the new password.
The current recovery page does not display a separate username-recovery option. Check previous MyGov account messages for the username your organization assigned. If you still cannot identify it, use official support rather than guessing repeatedly.
If you no longer control the registered email address, do not create a replacement account unless your organization or official support tells you to. Ask support what information is required to verify access.
Fix Common Login Problems
Invalid credentials: Re-enter the email address or username manually. Remove accidental spaces, check capitalization, and make sure password autofill did not insert credentials for another service.
Locked or blocked access: Stop repeated attempts. Use the official password-recovery option or contact official support. Follow any message shown on the sign-in screen.
Verification-code trouble: Confirm that the code belongs to your current attempt and enter it before it expires. Request a new code only from the verified screen. Check blocked messages and spam folders where applicable.
Permalink error: Use the permalink supplied by your organization. Do not copy one from another user or guess its format.
Browser trouble: Refresh the page, close and reopen the browser, or try a private browsing window. Clear saved MyGov credentials if autofill keeps inserting the wrong information. Make sure cookies and scripts are not being blocked for the sign-in session.
Possible outage: If the verified page will not load on more than one browser or connection, wait and try again. Check the official website for a service notice and avoid unofficial “status” pages.
Contact MyGovUS Support
Use the support details displayed in the verified contact block on this page or follow the support option on the company’s official website. Check that official source for the current channels and operating hours, because contact information can change.
Before requesting help, gather your name, registered email address, username if known, organization or local government name, and permalink if one was issued. Note the exact error message, when the problem happened, and the device and browser you used.
Do not send your password or a verification code. A screenshot can help, but remove personal records and other sensitive information before sharing it. Support may need to verify your identity or confirm which organization manages the account.
Protect Your Account
Reach the login through the company’s official website or a trusted bookmark you created after verifying the page.
Check the page identity in the browser before entering credentials. Leave if the name is misspelled, the connection warning appears, or the page requests information unrelated to signing in.
Ignore unexpected messages that pressure you to sign in immediately. Open the official website separately instead of using the message button.
Use a unique password and store it in a reputable password manager. Never reuse a work or email password.
Never share a password, recovery message, or one-time verification code with another person.
Sign out when finished, especially on a shared device. Do not save the password or select “Remember me” there.
If you entered credentials on a suspicious page, reset the password from the verified sign-in page and notify official support promptly.
