Mon Power Outage Status and Reporting Guide

Check the Mon Power Outage Status
Open {site} and choose the outage map or outage information section. The official Mon Power outage map is the best place to check a current interruption because it can show affected areas, reported outage counts, and restoration information that is available for your location.
On a phone, allow the map to load before searching. Enter the service address if the tool offers an address search, or move and zoom the map to your area. Select an outage marker or affected area to view its details. A broad map marker may represent several reports, so the number shown may not match the number of individual streets without power.
When checking Mon Power outage status, look for:
- The area covered by the outage marker.
- The number of customers reported without service.
- The time the outage was recorded or last updated.
- An estimated restoration time, if one is available.
- Any message indicating that crews are assessing damage or working in the area.
If the map does not load, refresh the page once or try the status tool without the map view. A weak mobile connection may prevent map tiles from appearing even when outage information is available.
Report a Power Outage
Do not assume that a neighbor has already reported the problem. Submit your own report so Mon Power can associate the interruption with your service location.
To report Mon Power outage conditions online, open the official outage section and select the option to report an outage. The system may ask you to sign in or identify the service location. Have the account holder’s name, service address, and any requested account-identifying information ready. Enter the address where power is actually out, which may differ from a mailing address.
You can also use the official outage-reporting phone channel shown in the verified contact block on this page. Follow the automated prompts or ask for outage assistance. Be ready to provide the service address and explain whether the whole property is without power, only part of it is affected, or nearby properties also appear dark.
Do not report sparking equipment or a fallen line only as an ordinary Mon Power power outage. Use the utility’s downed-line reporting channel and keep everyone away from the area.
Track Restoration Updates
Return to the official status tool after submitting the report. Search for the same service address or select the same area on the MonPower outage map. Restoration details may not appear immediately because the utility may need to assess the location before posting an estimate.
An estimated restoration time is an estimate, not a guarantee. Conditions found by crews can cause it to move earlier or later. To recognize a change, compare both the displayed estimate and the page’s last-updated time. If the estimate disappears, the outage may be under reassessment; it does not necessarily mean that your report was canceled.
Check periodically instead of submitting the same report repeatedly. Submit another report if the tool says service has been restored but your property still has no power, or if power returns and then fails again.
What to Do If Your Outage Is Not Listed
If your location does not appear on the Mon Power outage map, file a new report through the official online tool or outage phone channel. A map can lag behind a new report, and some interruptions may be shown only after they are confirmed or grouped with nearby reports.
After reporting, look for an on-screen confirmation, reference message, or other notice that the submission was received. If you report by phone, complete all prompts and wait for the system to confirm the service location or submission before ending the call.
If the tool cannot find the property, check the spelling, unit number, postal code, and the difference between the mailing address and service address. Make sure you are using the account connected to the affected meter. A landlord, previous resident, property manager, or another household member may be the named account holder.
If only your home is dark, check the breaker panel from a safe, dry location. Do not touch damaged equipment or attempt utility repairs. If breakers appear normal and neighboring properties have power, report the outage anyway because the problem may affect the line or equipment serving only your property.
Contact Mon Power Support
Use the verified contact options displayed above this article for official Mon Power assistance. Choose the outage-reporting channel to check Mon Power outage information, submit a lost-power report, or report that the map shows restoration when service is still off.
Use the designated emergency or downed-line channel for fallen wires, damaged poles, sparking equipment, or a tree touching electrical equipment. Treat every wire as energized, including wires that look insulated or appear inactive.
For sign-in trouble, a missing service address, or an account that does not match the affected property, use the account support channel on {site}. Explain that the issue is preventing an outage report, and provide only the account details requested through the official process.
Safety During an Outage
Stay well away from downed lines and anything they touch, including fences, trees, vehicles, and standing water. Keep children and pets away. Report the hazard through Mon Power’s official emergency channel. Contact emergency services when there is fire, injury, immediate danger, or another life-threatening situation.
Operate a generator only outdoors, far from doors, windows, and vents. Never use one in a home, garage, basement, shed, or other enclosed space. Use properly rated equipment, follow the manufacturer’s instructions, and do not connect a generator directly to household wiring unless an appropriate transfer system has been installed by a qualified professional.
Use flashlights instead of candles when possible. Unplug sensitive electronics, leave one light switched on so you notice restoration, and keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed. If you depend on powered medical equipment and cannot use a safe backup, contact emergency services or follow your established emergency plan.
