To access the FMCSA Training Provider Registry account, open the official Training Providers page and select Provider Login. The FMCSA provider login uses a Login.gov email address, password, and a second authentication method.
Where is the official FMCSA Provider Login?
Open {site} and find the Training Providers page for the Training Provider Registry. Select Provider Login to begin the verified FMCSA provider log in process.
The correct page identifies itself as part of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Training Provider Registry. It should send you to Login.gov for authentication and return you to the Training Provider Registry after you sign in.
Do not assume that a search result or advertisement is official. If a page asks for FMCSA provider credentials without sending you through Login.gov, return to the verified FMCSA site and start again.
How do I sign in to my FMCSA provider account?
Login.gov is the federal sign-in service used to authenticate Training Provider Registry users. Have the email address associated with your Login.gov account, your Login.gov password, and access to an authentication method ready.
- Open the official Training Providers page and select Provider Login.
- On the Login.gov screen, enter the email address used for your Login.gov account.
- Enter your Login.gov password and select Sign in.
- Complete authentication using a method already connected to the account. Available methods may include a code from an authentication app, a text or phone code, a security key, face or touch unlock, or a backup code.
- Wait for Login.gov to return you to the Training Provider Registry.
- Confirm that the correct provider account and available provider functions appear before entering or changing records.
The Login.gov email address is also the address FMCSA uses for Training Provider Registry notifications. An existing Login.gov account may be used; a separate account is not required merely because Login.gov was previously used for another government service.
If the provider is already registered but your user access is missing, contact the provider’s Training Provider Registry Administrator. The Administrator can invite other people to work in the Registry for that provider.
What if I forgot my FMCSA provider username or password?
The FMCSA login provider username is the email address associated with Login.gov. The Training Provider Registry does not display a separate FMCSA password-reset process because Login.gov manages the sign-in credentials.
If you are unsure which email address was used, check the inboxes where you receive Login.gov messages, FMCSA notifications, or an invitation from the provider’s Administrator. Login.gov does not show a separate username-recovery link on its sign-in page.
To reset a forgotten Login.gov password:
- Begin at the verified Provider Login and continue to Login.gov.
- Select Forgot your password?
- Enter the account email address and select Continue.
- Open the message sent by Login.gov and select the password-reset button in that message.
- Enter a new password that meets the requirements shown by Login.gov, then select Change password.
- Sign in again and complete the authentication step.
If you no longer control the email address, do not guess at account details or create duplicate provider access without guidance. Use Login.gov support for the Login.gov account problem, and contact the TPR Technical Support Team if the issue concerns the provider account or its connection to the Registry.
How do I fix common FMCSA provider login problems?
Incorrect email or password: Check for typing errors, unwanted spaces, and automatic capitalization. Make sure the email is the one connected to the provider’s Login.gov access. Use Forgot your password? instead of repeatedly trying uncertain passwords.
Locked or inaccessible Login.gov account: Select another authentication method if Login.gov offers one. If no registered method is available, follow the Login.gov Help section for trouble signing in or contact Login.gov support.
Verification code never arrives: Confirm that the selected phone or authentication method is available. Check blocked messages and signal reception, avoid requesting several codes in quick succession, and choose another registered method when offered. Use only the newest valid code.
Provider account does not appear: Confirm that you signed in with the email used for the Training Provider Registry. If another person registered the organization, ask its TPR Administrator whether your invitation and user access are active.
Page loops or remains blank: Close extra sign-in tabs, allow cookies for the sign-in session, and try a current browser. Clearing site data or using a private browsing window can help isolate stale cookies or extensions.
Official page is unavailable: Check the Login.gov system-status information if authentication will not load. If only the Training Provider Registry fails, use its official support option. Do not rely on an estimated restoration time.
How do I contact FMCSA Provider Account Support?
For a Training Provider Registry account, open {site}, go to the Training Providers page, and select Contact the TPR Team. The official contact page provides a form for the TPR Technical Support Team and access to frequently asked questions.
Contact Login.gov support when the problem involves a Login.gov password, authentication method, verification code, or locked Login.gov account. Contact the TPR Technical Support Team when Login.gov succeeds but the provider account, invitation, role, registration, or Registry page is missing or incorrect.
Have the following details ready:
- Your name and the email address associated with Login.gov.
- The provider’s legal name and your role in its Registry account.
- Whether Login.gov accepted your credentials and authentication.
- The exact error message and the step where it appeared.
- Your browser and device type, plus a screenshot with sensitive information hidden.
Never send your password, one-time code, backup codes, or security key information to support.
How do I protect my FMCSA provider account?
- Start from the verified FMCSA Training Providers page and confirm that government pages use a .gov domain.
- Check that authentication occurs on Login.gov before entering your Login.gov password.
- Do not open sign-in links from unexpected messages. FMCSA warns that it does not send email requests seeking personal or payment information.
- Use a unique Login.gov password and keep more than one authentication method available.
- Never share passwords or one-time codes, including with someone claiming to provide account support.
- Sign out after using the FMCSA provider account on a shared or public device.
