FB Customer Service and Support Contact Options
Official FB Customer Service Options
FB customer service is mainly provided through Facebook’s own Help Center, in-account menus, recovery tools, reporting forms, and Support Inbox. Some account types may see additional contact choices, but phone, email, or live chat assistance is not available to every user.
Start from the Facebook app or type Facebook’s name into your browser and open the verified official site. In the app, open the main menu, then look for Help & support. On the website, select your profile picture and choose Help & support.
Before submitting a report, have the following information ready:
- The name and contact information connected to your account.
- A short description of the problem and when it began.
- The exact wording of any error message.
- Screenshots that do not expose passwords or security codes.
- Details about the device and browser or app you were using.
A legitimate contact option should appear inside Facebook or its official Help Center. Do not assume that a phone number or email address found in search results belongs to Facebook.
FB Customer Service Phone Number
Facebook states in its Help Center that Meta and its products do not have a general public customer service phone number. That means there is no public FB customer service number that ordinary users can call for routine account help.
To verify this yourself, open the official Facebook Help Center and search for “phone support availability.” The resulting official article explains the current policy. This is safer than relying on a search result, social media post, or directory that claims to list an FB phone number.
If your account displays a contact option for a particular issue, follow only the instructions shown after you sign in through Facebook’s official app or site. Availability can depend on the account and problem. Never call a claimed FB support number merely because it appears prominently in an online search.
How to Reach FB Support Online
Open the official Help Center from Facebook’s Help & support menu. Search for a few clear words that describe the issue, such as “locked account,” “password reset,” “hacked account,” “disabled account,” or “report impersonation.” Select the article that matches the message you see.
If you can sign in, check your Support Inbox:
- Select your profile picture or open the main menu.
- Choose Help & support.
- Select Support Inbox.
- Review account alerts, updates about reports, and messages from Facebook.
If a feature is not working, the Help & support menu may also offer Report a problem. Describe one problem at a time and attach a useful screenshot when requested. Do not include your password, a one-time code, or unnecessary identity documents.
Some users may see account-specific assistance or chat options inside an eligible product area. Treat the option as official only when it appears within Facebook after you have entered through the verified app or site. The absence of such an option does not mean that a hidden public phone line or general email address exists.
FB Customer Care Email
Facebook does not present a general FB customer care email for routine user support. Addresses posted in forums or contact directories should not be treated as official alternatives.
Use the Help Center article or reporting form for the exact issue instead. When signed in, check the Support Inbox for replies and instructions. For login trouble, use the account recovery path presented by the official Help Center. For abuse, impersonation, or unwanted content, use the report control attached to the profile, post, message, or other item.
If you receive an email claiming to be from Facebook, do not reply with account credentials. Open Facebook separately and review the area in account settings that lists recent security emails. You can also search the official Help Center for instructions on checking whether an email really came from Facebook.
Help With Login and Account Recovery
For a forgotten password, begin at Facebook’s normal sign-in screen and select the forgotten-password option. Search for your account using information previously connected to it, choose an available verification method, and follow the prompts to create a new password.
If no code arrives, confirm that you entered the correct email address or mobile number. Check spam or junk folders and blocked text messages. Avoid requesting many codes in quick succession, and use only the newest valid code you receive.
If you cannot access the email address or phone connected to the account, open the official Help Center and choose Account recovery. Use a phone, computer, and browser that you have used with the account before when possible. Follow the identity and contact-information prompts exactly as displayed.
If you believe someone changed your password or account details, search the official Help Center for “hacked account” and start its guided recovery process. After access is restored, review active sessions, remove unfamiliar contact information, choose a unique password, and enable the security options offered in your settings.
Avoiding Fake FB Support Contacts
Scammers often advertise a fake FB customer service number or FB support number and claim that an account will be permanently lost unless the user acts immediately. They may also use unofficial email addresses, copied logos, or account names that resemble Facebook.
End the conversation if anyone asks for:
- Your password or complete sign-in details.
- A one-time login or recovery code.
- Remote access to your phone or computer.
- Payment, gift cards, or financial details to restore an account.
- Identity documents sent through an ordinary message or unfamiliar form.
Do not follow a sign-in link sent by an unknown person. Open the Facebook app or official site independently, then find the relevant Help Center page or Support Inbox message. Report suspicious profiles, messages, and posts with Facebook’s built-in report controls. When in doubt, stop responding and restart the support process from inside your account.
