To sign in to Discord, open {site}, choose Login, and enter the email address or phone number connected to your Discord account and your password. You can also sign in through the official Discord mobile or desktop app.

Use only Discord’s own website or an app obtained from your device’s official app store. Never enter your Discord password, backup code, or verification code on a page reached through an unexpected message.

Where is the official Discord login page?

Open {site} and select Login. Check that the page clearly identifies Discord before entering account details, especially if you reached it through search results.

A copied page can look like the Discord login page while sending your credentials to someone else. These checks reduce that risk:

  • Type Discord’s name into your browser or use a saved bookmark that you created after visiting the official site.
  • Avoid login links in unsolicited emails, direct messages, advertisements, or messages claiming that your account will be closed immediately.
  • Use the official Discord app when possible. Get the app through the app store built into your phone or through Discord’s own site.
  • If the page asks for unusual information, close it and start again from Discord’s official site or app.

How do I log in to Discord?

Have the email address or phone number associated with your Discord account, your password, and any verification method enabled on the account ready before starting.

  1. Open the official Discord login page or Discord app.
  2. Enter the email address or phone number connected to the account.
  3. Enter the Discord password. Passwords are case-sensitive, so check capitalization.
  4. Select Log In.
  5. Complete any email or security verification that Discord requests.

The desktop login screen may also display a QR code. A QR code is a square image that the signed-in Discord mobile app can scan to approve a desktop login. Scan only a QR code displayed on the official Discord app or login page, review the approval prompt carefully, and do not scan a code sent by another person.

If you are trying to login to a Discord account with more than one possible email address, use the address that receives Discord account messages. Creating another account will not restore access to the original account.

How do I sign in to Discord on mobile or desktop?

In the official mobile app, the Discord sign-in option appears when the app opens without an active account. Choose Log In rather than Register, then enter the account credentials and complete any requested verification.

In the desktop app, the account login Discord screen appears when no account is signed in. You can enter your credentials or use the QR option shown on that screen. QR login requires access to a Discord mobile app that is already signed in to the account.

If Discord opens directly to another account, use Discord’s account controls to log out or switch accounts before attempting a different Discord account sign in. On a shared device, do not save the password, and sign out when finished.

What should I do if I forgot my Discord password?

Use the Forgot your password option on the Discord sign-in screen. Discord sends the recovery message to the email address associated with the account, so you must be able to open that inbox.

  1. Enter the account’s email address on the Discord login screen.
  2. Select Forgot your password.
  3. Open the password-reset message sent by Discord.
  4. Follow the instructions in that message to choose a new, unique password.
  5. Return to the official Discord sign-in screen and try the new password.

If the message does not arrive, check the spam, junk, promotions, and filtered folders. Search the inbox for messages from Discord, confirm that the entered email address has no typing errors, and wait briefly before making another request.

If you cannot access the associated email inbox, contact the email provider about restoring that inbox. Discord support may ask for account details, but you should never send anyone your password, multifactor authentication code, or backup code.

Why can’t I sign in to Discord?

A failed Discord account login can result from incorrect credentials, an unfinished verification request, an account restriction, or a connection problem. Read the exact message on the login screen before changing account settings.

  • Incorrect credentials: Re-enter the email address or phone number and password manually. Check capitalization, keyboard language, spaces added by autofill, and recently changed passwords.
  • Verification request: Check the associated email inbox or use the security method requested on screen. Multifactor authentication means that Discord requires an additional approved security method after the password.
  • Code never arrives: Check filtered email folders and confirm that the requested destination belongs to the account. Do not repeatedly request codes in rapid succession.
  • Disabled or suspended account: Follow the instructions in Discord’s notice. Use official support if the notice provides an appeal or review option; do not create workarounds to bypass the restriction.
  • Connection problem: Confirm that other sites or apps load, switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data if available, and restart Discord. Check Discord’s official status information for a reported outage.
  • App problem: Close and reopen Discord, install available updates from the official app store, or try the official browser login page.

Do not disable security protections simply to make the login work. If a browser extension, VPN, or network filter appears to interfere, test carefully on a trusted connection and restore your normal security settings afterward.

How do I contact Discord support about account access?

Use Discord’s official support area and choose the category that best matches login, hacked-account, disabled-account, or email-access trouble. Submit one clear request and keep any confirmation message so you can refer to the same case.

Provide the email address associated with the account, the Discord username if known, the exact error message, the device and app or browser used, and the steps already tried. Screenshots can help, but remove unrelated personal information before attaching them.

Discord support does not need your password, authentication code, backup code, or a QR login approval. If anyone asks for those secrets, stop communicating and return to Discord’s official support area.
