How to Find Archived Orders in the Amazon App

The Amazon app does not have a separate Archived Orders page. Orders that were archived in the past now appear in the account’s regular order history, where you can find them by searching or filtering by year.

You do not need to unarchive these orders before opening them. Amazon retired the separate archived-order view, so older instructions that tell you to select “Archived Orders” may no longer match the app or website.

Can You See Archived Orders in the Amazon App?

You can see orders that were previously archived in the Amazon app, but they are no longer labeled or grouped as archived. Look for them in Your Orders with the rest of the account’s order history.

An archived order was an order moved out of the default history view under Amazon’s former archive feature. Archiving did not delete or cancel the order. Amazon subsequently removed the separate archived-order view and returned previously archived orders to regular order history.

Do not confuse a formerly archived order with these other records:

  • A canceled order is an order that was stopped before completion and may appear under a canceled-orders filter.
  • A hidden item may refer to recommendations, browsing activity, or another personalized list rather than the order record itself.
  • A regular order is any order shown in Your Orders, including an order that was archived before the separate archive was removed.

If you are following older directions for “archived orders Amazon app” or “archived orders on Amazon app,” the missing Archived Orders option does not by itself mean the order is gone.

How to Find Archived Amazon Orders on Mobile

To find a formerly archived Amazon order in the current mobile app, search the main order history. Have the item name, approximate order year, recipient name, or order number ready if possible.

  1. Open the Amazon app and confirm that you are signed in to the account used for the order.
  2. Tap the profile icon near the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select Your Orders.
  4. Enter the item name or order number in the order-search field.
  5. If search does not find it, open the date or order-history filter and select the year in which the order was placed.
  6. Review the matching orders and tap the one you need.

If the app does not show enough history, use a phone browser:

  1. Open the company’s official website and sign in with the same Amazon account.
  2. Open the account menu and select Your Orders or Returns & Orders.
  3. Search for the item or order number, or use the date filter to choose the relevant year.
  4. If controls are missing from the mobile page, use the browser menu to request the desktop version of the site, then check Your Orders again.

A separate Archived Orders filter may appear only in outdated instructions or an older interface. Use the main order history when that filter is absent.

How Do You Open an Archived Amazon Order?

A formerly archived Amazon order opens like any other order in Your Orders. Tap the order card or select View order details after finding the record.

The details available depend on the order’s type, age, seller, and current status. The page may provide:

  • Order date, order number, items, recipient, and delivery information.
  • Shipment progress, delivery updates, or tracking details when those records are available.
  • An invoice or printable order summary through an Invoice or View invoice control, when Amazon provides one for that order.
  • Eligible actions such as getting help with the order, starting a return, reviewing return status, or contacting the seller.

An old tracking control may show the final delivery record rather than live movement. Some actions also disappear after their eligibility period ends. That does not mean the order was deleted or that its former archived status is blocking access.

How Do You Return an Order to Your Main Order History?

No manual unarchive step is normally available or required now. Amazon moved previously archived orders back into the main Your Orders history when it retired the separate archive view.

  1. Open Your Orders in the app or on the Amazon website.
  2. Search by item name or order number, or select the order year.
  3. Open the matching order from the results.

The order appears according to its original order date, not at the top of the newest orders. Older instructions may tell you to open Archived Orders and select Unarchive Order, but those controls are no longer part of the current general order-history flow. If your account still displays an archive-related control, follow the wording shown on that account and confirm that the order then appears under its original year.

What Should You Do If Archived Orders Are Missing?

A missing formerly archived Amazon order is often caused by an account, profile, marketplace, search, or date-filter mismatch. Check each possibility before concluding that the record is unavailable.

  • Confirm the sign-in email address or mobile number. Another Amazon account may hold the order.
  • Check whether you are using a personal profile, household profile, or business account different from the one used for the order.
  • Confirm that you are viewing the same country marketplace where the order was placed.
  • Clear the order search, choose the correct year, and review canceled or digital orders if the order belongs in one of those categories.
  • Update the Amazon app, close it completely, reopen it, and sign in again if the order list will not load.
  • Try the Amazon website in a mobile browser. Request the desktop site if the mobile layout omits search or date controls.
  • Check an Amazon order confirmation message for the exact order number, then search Your Orders with that number.

Do not assume archiving erased the record. Archiving did not cancel an order, and the absence of an Archived Orders menu can simply reflect Amazon’s current order-history layout.

How Do You Get Help With Archived Amazon Orders?

Contact Amazon through its official Customer Service area if a formerly archived order cannot be found or opened after you check the account, marketplace, and order year.

  1. In the Amazon app, open the main menu and select Customer Service.
  2. Choose help with an order or select the option indicating that the needed order is not shown.
  3. Use the chat or contact option Amazon presents for the signed-in account.
  4. Provide the order number, approximate date, item name, account email address, and the marketplace used.

You can also open the company’s official website, sign in, and select Customer Service from the site menu. Use only the contact choices displayed there; search results may contain unofficial contact details. Explain that the order was archived before Amazon removed the separate archived-order view and that it is missing from the regular history.
