Where to Find Apple App Subscriptions

Apple app subscriptions are tied to the Apple Account used when the subscription started. You can view them from an Apple device or through Apple’s official support pages.

  • On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
  • On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name, then choose Account Settings. Scroll to Subscriptions and click Manage.
  • On Apple’s official website, open the Apple Support page about canceling a subscription. Choose the web cancellation option and sign in when prompted.
  • To review account details, use the official Apple Account page. Find it through Apple’s main website and select Sign In.

The Subscriptions screen separates active subscriptions from inactive or expired ones. The wording and placement of buttons may vary slightly with the device software, but the subscription name and its current status should appear on the details screen.

Sign In to View Your Subscriptions

Before changing anything, confirm that you are using the Apple Account connected to the subscription. On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings and tap your name. The account email address or phone number appears with your account information. On a Mac, open System Settings and click your name.

The account used for Media & Purchases can sometimes differ from the main account shown on the device. On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, and select Media & Purchases to check it. Do not sign out unless you know the credentials for every account involved.

If you are asked to sign in, enter the email address or phone number and password for the account that originally handled the subscription. Complete any identity check shown on a trusted device or sent to a trusted phone number.

If you are unsure which account was used, search your email for an Apple receipt associated with the subscription. Check the account information on that receipt, but do not open sign-in links from unexpected messages. Instead, return to Settings, the App Store, or Apple’s official website yourself.

Change or Cancel a Subscription

Open the subscription details before making a change. Read the status and any renewal or expiration information shown there.

On an iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open Settings and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Select the active subscription.
  4. Choose one of the management options shown. To stop renewal, tap Cancel Subscription and follow the confirmation prompts.

On a Mac:

  1. Open the App Store and click your name. Sign in if requested.
  2. Choose Account Settings.
  3. Scroll to Subscriptions and click Manage.
  4. Select the subscription, use an available change option, or click Cancel Subscription.
  5. Confirm the change when prompted.

For the web method, find Apple’s official support article for canceling subscriptions, select its web option, and authenticate with the correct Apple Account. Choose the subscription and use the available controls.

If no Cancel button appears, look for an expiration message or an indication that the subscription is already inactive. Return to the subscription list afterward and confirm that the displayed status matches the action you intended.

Find Expired or Missing Subscriptions

Scroll through the full Subscriptions screen and look below the active list for inactive or expired entries. Select an entry to review its status. An expired subscription will not have the same cancellation control as an active one.

If an expected item is missing, check these points:

  • Confirm the Apple Account shown under Media & Purchases.
  • Check whether you have another Apple Account that may have been used.
  • Search your email for the Apple receipt and compare its account information.
  • Review Purchase History in the App Store account area. Adjust the displayed date range if necessary.
  • Check whether a family member used a different Apple Account.

Sign in to another account only if it belongs to you and you know its credentials. Then reopen Subscriptions and check again. If a receipt identifies Apple but the subscription remains missing from the correct account, gather the receipt, subscription name, transaction details, and the date of the latest account activity before contacting Apple Support.

Recover Access to Your Apple Account

If you forgot your password, first use a trusted device that is already signed in. On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, select Sign-In & Security, and tap Change Password. On a Mac, open System Settings, click your name, select Sign-In & Security, and choose Change Password.

If the device is not signed in, use the Forgot Password option on its Apple Account sign-in screen. Follow the identity checks exactly as displayed.

Without a trusted device, go to Apple’s official account-recovery service by starting at Apple’s main website or Apple Support and selecting the forgotten-password or account-recovery option. Enter only information you can verify. If you previously set up a recovery contact, Apple may offer that method.

Account recovery is controlled by Apple’s security process. Follow the status instructions Apple provides and do not trust anyone who claims they can bypass the verification steps.

Contact Apple Support

Use Apple’s official Support website or the Apple Support app. Choose Billing & Subscriptions for a missing subscription, cancellation issue, or account charge. Choose Apple Account Support when the problem is signing in, verifying your identity, or recovering access.

Apple will display the support methods currently available for your issue and location. Avoid phone numbers or account links from search ads, social posts, or unsolicited messages.

Have the Apple Account email address or phone number, subscription name, device type, relevant receipt, and any exact error message ready. Never send your password, device passcode, or verification code to another person. Apple Support can explain subscription and billing records, but it cannot bypass the account-recovery security process.
